On March 13th at 2 pm the Lackawanna Historical Society,  will present Frances Slocum: Child of Two Americas by Bill Bachman, Commonwealth Speaker for the Pennsylvania Humanities Council.  Mr. Bachman is an Instructor of Communication Arts and Sciences at Penn State University-Wilkes-Barre, where he’s been on the faculty since 1982. Following extensive research, Bill wrote, directed and co-produced the docudrama, Frances Slocum: Child of Two Americas which explores the life of the young Pennsylvania girl kidnapped by Indians in 1778.  He received his M.A. in Communication Arts from the New York Institute of Technology in 1982.
