S/WB Yankees Schedule Pinstripes Golf Classic

The inaugural Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees Pinstripes Golf Classic will be held on Monday (Aug. 18) at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club, 260 Country Club Drive, Mountain Top. Golfers will compete in a four-person scramble format and will have a Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees player added to their foursome. 
The first annual event, to be held rain or shine, will begin with lunch at 11:30 a.m. and a shotgun start to begin the round of golf at noon.
The tournament will have three flights, with first, second and third place to be awarded in each division.
In addition to playing a round of golf with an SWB Yankees player, lunch prior to teeing off and dinner following the event will be included. All participating golfers will receive a goody bag, which will include a shirt commemorating the inaugural event.
Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club is a 27-hole championship golf course that features the design of Ault, Clark and Associates, well known for their design of Toft-Trees in State College; the TPC at Avanel in Washington, D.C., and the Woods Course at Kingsmill, Williamsburg, Va., and incorporates some of northeastern Pennsylvania’s most scenic landscapes.
